Being made with the mixture of fine particles α-SiC and additives, the granulation powder is pressed into blank. The carbon within the blank contacted with free silicon in a vacuum sintering furnace at 1500℃ and reacts with the infiltrated Si and then becomes β-SiC which form the high-density silicon carbide material along with α-SiC.
Material performance:
Reaction Bonded Silicon Carbide has characteristics of high hardness, strong wear resistance, good self lubrication, low friction coefficient, high temperature resistance, high thermal conductivity, etc.
Working conditions:
It's suitable for general working conditions, restricted being used in hydrofluoric acid and strong alkali conditions due to free silicon contained in reaction bonded silicon carbide.
Application fields:
Mechanical seal, pump, bearing, petroleum, chemical industry, automobile, ships, power, pharmaceutical industry, new energy, etc.
